Last week I had the pleasure of aiding my friend, Elise Preiss ( renowned jewelry professor at CSULB), casting class at Idyllwild's Jewelry & Metals Week.
Imagine a week surrounded by wonderful jewelry artists, deeply immersed in your chosen subject area. From morning and happily into the night we played at our craft. Testing ourselves to improve our skills and take ourselves out of our comfort zones.
What you will see in the coming months are designs using some of my new found skills...cuttlebone casting infused with enamel or perhaps some water casting studded with pearls...
Don't worry we still found time to play thanks to Joanna Gollberg Stirling who brought along a supply of henna and enticed many of us to have her paint a beautiful design on our hand or foot. Or in this case Elise tried out the henna painting on Joanna's foot.
Good fun and great connections with these wonderfully talented women.....
Thank you all.
